The Country Cottages series of web sites features cottages and pine lodges to rent for self catering holidays.

The sites are portals which means that the cottages are all advertised by independent owners and bookings taken by the owners themselves or agencies managing booking on their behalf, offering prospective guests the best possible prices and quality of accommodation.

Many of the cottages are graded by Tourist Boards, others are simply lovely cottages that prefer not to participate in the various Tourist Board schemes because of the costs involved. If the properties do not have a Tourist Board rating, view the selection of photographs to determine the quality on offer.

Our policy is to only advertise cottage, farmhouse and apartment self catering holiday accommodation that we would be prepared to stay in ourselves. This includes a range of accommodation from good clean basic up to opulent 5 star. The cottages can be booked for weekly periods during school holidays but are available for short breaks in low season.

This particular site features cottage breaks in Devon, a county in south west England famous for its beautiful countryside and numerous good beaches on both the south and north coast.

The West Country from Cornwall, through Devon, Somerset and into Dorset and Wiltshire features lovely countryside and inevitably, all of these counties are popular for summer holidays with British people.
